Google Latitude: vedi dove sono i tuoi amici
Se Twitter risponde alla domanda “cosa stai facendo adesso?” Google Latitude risponde alla domanda “dove sei adesso?”.
Google Latitude è 1) una nuova caratteristica di Google Maps oppure 2) un nuovo gadget di iGoogle che ti permette di vedere dove stanno i tuoi amici (assieme al loro messaggio di stato di Gtalk). Può aggiornarsi sia manualmente che automaticamente.
E la privacy? Beh, non siamo ancora ai livelli di “1984″ di George Orwell: così come per Twitter, siamo noi a scegliere chi dei nostri contatti può vedere la nostra posizione. 
Un unico requisito: i contatti devono essere registrati a Gmail.
With Google Latitude, a new feature on Google Maps for mobile and a gadget for iGoogle coming out today, we’re kind of turning that idea on its head, making the “where” matter again. Latitude allows you to see where your friends are located in real time on a map, anywhere in the world.
